A Holistic Discussion
We were thrilled for her to appear on ‘It’s A Dog’s Life’ podcast. Dr. Chambreau said:
“I’m passionate about homeopathy, mostly because it provides a framework for people to understand true health for their pets.”
In the podcast, she discussed her history and what led her to where she is now. She also discussed how homeopathy works and how unique each individual pet is. What works for one pet may not work for another. She said, at the academy, they have a system known as “HMDM” which stands for Holistic Medical Decision Making.
In Holistic Medical Decision Making, there are three steps. The first step involves setting a goal. You ask yourself, “is this an emergency? Am I scared of what’s going on? Do I need to go right to the vet or the emergency clinic? Or, is this a milder acute problem? Perhaps it’s something your pet has been dealing with for a long time. Or, if you have a perfectly healthy animal, what can you do to maintain and/or build health?
The second step involves research. As you put a healthcare team together, you will want to learn all you can. You may be looking through books or accessing information through the internet. Regardless of which method you use to find information, you must ask yourself if the person writing or the person you are speaking to is reputable. And, ask yourself if the information makes sense. Continue researching and searching for solutions.
In step three, it’s time for you to sit back and take a deep breath. You have done the research and you have a list of possible solutions. You can then call the people on your healthcare team and create an action plan.
Dr. Chambreau discussed this in further depth throughout the podcast providing examples of how you can implement Holistic Medical Decision Making. Listen to the podcast to learn more about how homeopathy can be implemented with your own pets.
