Dr. Stein’s Journey to TEEF!

Dr. Stein rescued Tinzley, her dog, from a shelter at 10 years old. Tinzley had multiple health conditions that were all caused by poor dental care. “No one could have communicated how bad Tinzley’s breath was.” says Dr. Stein.

From the horrible breath and the other symptoms of distress Tinzley was showing – Dr. Stein knew oral bacteria was the source of Tinzley’s eye and bladder infections, skin irritations, and lack of energy.

Tinzley is a great example of how dental issues and bad hygiene can turn into way worse health concerns in the future. Pet oral health is important and Dr. Stein needed to do something.

Symptoms of Oral Health and Dental Issues

Dr. Stein knew there were issues when she could see the distress signs all over her dog Tinzley. Some symptoms to look out for in your dog are:

  • Panting a lot more than usual
  • Drinking lots of water
  • Laziness (laying around more than usual)
  • Not food motivated (not eating meals the way your dog usually does)
  • Horrible breath

Natural Options For Gum Disease

First off, gum disease is more common than we think, in both humans and dogs. Gum Disease in our dogs is a mixture of inflammation and infection in the gums that can cause the teeth to physically fallout. Plus, over 80% of dogs will experience Gum Disease in their lifetime!

Unfortunately, one of the main causes of Gum Disease in our dogs is their diet and the chewable’s that are supposed to be for our dog’s mouth. The chemicals and non-natural ingredients in these products and food are just making it worse.

That’s why Dr. Stein and her team have developed an approach to grow the beneficial protective bacteria in the mouths of both humans and dogs. How do they do this? Natural Nutrients!

Building a healthier microbiome over time with the right nutrients creates a healthier mouth in return. “We found this to be a better and faster approach to an antibiotic.” said Dr. Stein
